| Version II |
version;; Version II - The Way You Like It artist;; Emi date;; April 2006 type;; Tables series;; Devil May Cry 3 features;; Dante comments;; My first Devil May Cry layout that didn't turn out to look like crap. At first it started out as a banner for my livejournal, but then I ended up liking it so I decided to turn it into a layout. I wasn't exactly sure how to turn it into a layout but I ended up with this. I've been wanting to make a DMC layout for a loooong loooong time, being the crazy fangirl that I am. This layout features Dante, because I conviently found a Dante image I had extracted and edited ages ago. This layout uses tables...Eew...tables. I hate tables. Colours featured are different reds, black and grey. And white, of course. Does that count? I love grey, it's so cool. Unlike most of my layouts, this layout only has two columns. The navigation is on the left and content on the right. This layout has no "Featured" section cause it was too annoying to update. I like the layout header but I don't know how I feel about the rest. But that's understandable since I had to just somehow attach the columns to the header and I wasn't sure what I was doing. Though I think it has a better feel for a site consisting mostly of icons, and it's a bit smaller, which is good cause I didn't need that much space. Well, that's about all I can say. Talking about a layout isn't too interesting. |
| Version I |
version;; Version I - Tastless artist;; Emi date;; Summer 2005 type;; Tables / DIV Layers series;; Loveless features;; Aoyagi Ritsuka comments;; Why don't we start by saying that this layout was a real pain in the butt? It was one of those days where I knew I had to make a layout, I just had no idea what it's supposed to look like and how to make it. So, I had to remake this layout at least 5 times. Ya, that was fun. I used the same image of Ritsuka from Loveless for all the remakes until I finally came up with this layout. I don't know how I finally managed to make this layout that day, but I did. And for some reason, the process of making this layout is completely forgotten to me and I don't even really remembering making it... Strange... Maybe an evil ghost possessed me and made me make this layout... BOO! Well like most of my layouts these days, this layout uses DIV layers and tables. Yaaaaaay...! Isn't that exciting folks? Personally I think iframes are much much easier and I tend to always make them for my other sites but alas, Dizzy Dog has too much content for a iframe layout... -sniffles- Main colours used are pink and purple... I think. Hmm maybe I was feeling a bit cheery that day? Don't usually tend to make pinky layouts! Oh wait... yes I do... Scratch that. 3 columns! 2 for navigation, one of the far right and one on the far left, and one for all the content in the middle! Some featured content will be shown in the little "Featured" box at the top of the layout. Do I like how this layout turned out? Hmm... Well I suppose. I liked it a lot at first but now I've seen it so much while working on Dizzy Dog that it kinda lost the effect. Though a lot of my friends seem to like it, and I won't question their taste. |
